Perfect Sound Forever

Colin Newman

Favorite Music

When we originally asked about a list of all-time favorites, he originally said 'No way!!!! The interview has a few but I'd never get it down to ten without spending a considerable amount of time (which I don't have), probably failing!!!' After a few thumb-screws and a few threats with automatic weapons, he decided that he would be a little more co-operative... too much maybe...

Plus of course all Swim releases!!!

Plus Beethoven's Pastoral any early Terry Riley or Steve Reich, and countless, countless others it all depends on time place and age! Plus of course I don't actually listen to old records! The 80's is a bit light because I didn't listen to Western music at all for most of it!

Current faves (this week) include Wallstar (demo), Rossberger (report), Bowery Electric (who we just remixed), Nico/trace/Ed Rush etc. (last year but timeless) plus new tracks from our own artists (we are fans!!) dol-lop, Ronnie & Clyde, Tomoki, Lobe. Erm... That's more than ten & to be quite honest I've hardly started!!!!
